DEEP LAUNCHES NEW PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITION
The Deep is unveiling a new underwater photography exhibition in association with the Natural History Museum and BBC Wildlife Magazine. The show entitled, Wildlife Photography: A Vision of the Oceans features a selection of images specially selected to celebrate The Deep’s tenth anniversary year and to highlight the importance of its marine conservation work. The exhibition is curated by the Natural History Museum from the archives of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition.
Colin Brown explains, “This unique exhibition is a truly great celebration of life in our oceans, featuring work by photographers around the globe. The selection includes some of the best images I have ever seen, including many species that The Deep is involved in conserving – including sharks, turtles and coral. All the pictures are very different – capturing very special moments such as orcas at sunset or a close up of the red spiky fairy crab. “
This unique exhibition can be seen only at The Deep. It is showing on The Deep’s 3rd Floor and viewing is free of charge whilst normal entry prices apply to those visiting The Deep exhibitions. The Deep is open to the public from July 1suntil January 31 2012.
