Humpback Whale Spotted Off Whitby
Robin Petch, Sea Watch Trustee and Regional Coordinator for Eastern England reports:
" Amongst the minke whales feeding off Whitby as they have in previous years, we have photographed a humpback whale! Unfortunately since finding it, the weather and sea conditions have turned against us, limiting the opportunities to go offshore again to find it although it was seen again last weekend on one of only 2 trips Bryan has managed to make recently. As reported in my last “newsletter”, Bryan was running “Finding Fins” trips every evening to see the minke whales, 5pm – 8pm until the weather turned and does intend to begin this again as soon as possible although he may move to 4pm – 7pm as the evenings draw in.If you can make it to Whitby for an evening/weekend trip, please get in touch with Bryan (Whitby Coastal Cruises) directly to book. His number is: 07941 450381
Trips fill up quickly as there are only 12 places on each.
